Alison Howarth has worked as frontline counsellor, manager, clinical governance and service designer for DFVSA (Domestic Family Violence and Sexual Assault) trauma support services for over 25 years. During that time, she has developed various training programs to directly enhance support for service users impacted by trauma. Alison has also researched and developed training and programmes to manage vicarious (secondary) trauma, which have been adopted by government, not for profit organisations and corporate organisations.
